[–]Spurs onyajulian 209
The San Antonio Spurs are now the 1 seed in the East
Spurs gonna beat everyone and make playoffs again aren't they
[–]Bucks CompleteSpud 64
They were probably gonna make the playoffs again anyway, beating everyone up is just a bonus
[–]Spurs savemenico 40
And then we're gonna lose to memphis
[–]Clippers immalurkhere 18
Don't worry all good teams do that
[–]Knicks yellow_eggplant 13 指標 3小時前
The last time the Spurs didn't make the playoffs 95% of this subreddit weren't even alive
Pop coaching the Spurs into the playoffs
I was thinking the same. The old man is really going to do it again.
[–]Clippers German-Jun 22
Pop could take 5 pieces of plywood to the playoffs.
[–]Warriors Docxm 14
God two weeks ago this sub was filled with 'Pop is washed'
[–]Spurs desertratrunner 8
lmao it was way worse than that, people wanted him fired
[–]Bucks DJ_B0B 397
People are saying we lost to a below 0.500 team but really we lost to the future 62-20 spurs.
[–]Spurs Coolgrnmen 127
If tonight and the game vs bucks is an indication of what spurs can do consistently... then I’d think they could realistically turn it into a 50-win season. Would be a hell of a Cinderella story...
[–]Bucks InexorableWaffle 11
50 win season would be pretty tough at this point IMO. You'd need to go 34-12 from here on out to crack that - definitely possible, but highly unlikely, given how many good teams you'll have to play to make it there. For reference, the only teams that are at that pace right now are the Bucks and Lakers.
That said, though, I definitely think you guys finish solidly above .500, and would be my odds-on favorite team to round out the playoff field in the West. You guys have a bunch of underrated players, and I learned a long time ago to never, ever doubt Pop, no matter how rocky things may be looking.
[–]Spurs Coolgrnmen 8
Oh no doubt. Tonight and the bucks game are the exception . We saw glimpses of the beautiful game tonight. Consistency will be key. Let’s see how the grizzlies Toronto go
[–]Spurs thered90 68
But we can’t do it consistently. Don’t get me wrong, I’m stoked about our last 2 performance but every time we have an up our fan base gets so ahead of ourselves and it makes the inevitable down so much worse.
We’ve been a little more consistent lately. We even looked good in our last 2 loses.
[–]Spurs yamaha2k11 9
We just need to play better on the road. Beating a team like the Celtics on the road and playing the Bucks close on the road is giving me hope.

Everyone has been talking about how LMA and the rest of the team shooting 3s opens up the floor for DeMar to do his thing, but not enough people are talking about how well everyone is cutting. Our offense looks completely unrecognizable from the start of the season. Personally, I feel like this is why Marco got so much playing time during the start of the season; only he and Patty knew how to move without the ball since they’ve played with the 2014 era Spurs team. The passing along the perimeter (which is another thing that Marco was good at) is also improving and was what led to that Lonnie 3 in the fourth. I actually felt like I was watching the beautiful game.
Yeah, this game reminded me of the 2014 Spurs ball movement.
[–][BOS] Isaiah Thomas thambucheaux 21
The contrast on your side of the floor to ours was jarring. Ball was zipping everywhere on your possessions, and it made the times you ISO'd much harder to guard. I feel like our on-ball defenders always had to think about the cut
[–]Spurs siphillis 92
Pop making a point very clear using Marco: I don't give a shit how bad you actually are. If you move well without the ball, I'm going to play you.
[–]Spurs colonisedlifeworld 18
Time for Spurs fan to acknowledge Marco.
[–]Spurs siphillis 11
He had a great December, full-stop.

Hah we probably don't play the Spurs for awhile still
checks schedule ——Jan 15th AND Jan 19th
aw shit. They play Toronto before they play us though - hope the Raps soften them up for us.
[–][BOS] Kevin Gamble pandaman666666 29
They boutta go 3-0
[–][LAL] Kobe Bryant Rasalghul92 5
I feel like the Spurs are gonna go on a tear and win their next 3 games before losing to the Hawks.
[–][SAS] Tony Parker la_peregrine 25
DeMar in toronto only gets on fire. He has something to prove there... He'd arrive in Miami so hot!
[–]Spurs himynamesgod 10
DeMar got his first career triple double in his first game vs toronto
[–][SAS] Dejounte Murray desubeast[ ] 196
The East still runs through DeMar.
Jokes aside, DD better make the All-Star team if he keeps playing like this.
[–]Spurs PlateOh 52
if they dont put him in ill honestly be surprised
[–]Spurs acciopizza_ 6
He’s making me eat my words. I said just very recently he wasn’t an all star anymore, but you are right. If he can keep this up, he definitely deserves it. It’s been amazing to watch.
When did he start shooting threes again? Seems like every game I tune into these days he's shooting at least 1.
[–][TOR] John Long Balenciallahh 10
I'm so happy for him, dudes been on a tear the past few games. It's literally been weeks since he's shot under 50% FG.
[–]Spurs cilinderman 10
We had it under control all across the game. Lonnie and DeMar were incredible. Great win against a quality team on the road. All this could mean a turning point.
has lonnie walker always been this money from the midrange?
[–][SAS] David Robinson solonharmony 34
Yes. Plus always been explosive. His problem was his impulses and being lost at times in the grand scheme. But those shortcomings are the ones you coach out of his system, which is why I think Pop has been really hard on him. Dude's improved really well though, so I guess he's the type for coaching like that
[–][SAS] Speedy Claxton paulluap1 11
He's always had a smooth shot, but his footwork has taken a big leap forward. Combine those new moves with his length...
[–]Raptors amarviratmohaan 4
It's getting better, but he's always shown potential. An exciting thing for the Spurs is that both Lonnie and Murray seem to have a knack for the midrange, and they're playing with Rudy, Demar and LMA - three of the best midrange guys in the league.
Lot of learning opportunities there.
Actually got to see tacko play a few min vs starters and it wasn't bad. That's my takeaway from this game lol
What were you watching? He had absolutely no idea what he was doing
[–]Spurs ShazbotHappens 9
Yeah this. I thought he looked like someone that was thrown into a game with NBA players.
That's because these are still his first 100th minutes in the NBA.
[–]Nets Bigbadbuck 11
just when i doubted the spurs. you cannot sleep on this team lol
[–][LAL] Marcelo Huertas henstobs11 38
Sources say top teams pray at night hoping the Spurs don't haunt them in their sleep.
[–][SAS] Boris Diaw severusssblackkk 120
Back to back wins against two of the top 3 teams in the league? Yes please!
[–]Spurs ATXBeermaker 21
And one of the wins was on the road!
And I thank you for both of them.
[–]Grizzlies NoirPochette 81
Oh come on. Every time we have a chance to be 8th, Spurs have to win.
[–]Spurs Elec7ro 46
I think we’re playing y’all on Friday
[–]Spurs madhare09 39
Please win that game. We need breathing room.
Says a lot to beat the top 2 teams in the East back to back. A lot of people are gonna make this game about the Walker ejection, but the Spurs played great for 90 percent of the game. I think we may have turned the corner and should play pretty decently the rest of the season.
yeah we got our asses kicked all night, would've liked to see if we couldve came back with the crowd rocking. but those 5 free throws killed anything we had going. gg
[–][BOS] John Havlicek ronxpopeil 89
Spurs played well but the Refs fucked us over hard with that Kemba ejection
[–]Spurs yamaha2k11 17
That was soft af. Kemba would have made it a closer game for sure.
[–][SAS] Dejounte Murray desubeast[ ] 76
Yeah that was a weak ejection, those 3 techs pretty much sealed the game for us.
